The popular - but touristy - preferred means of journeying part way up Mount Tibidabo. The Tamvia Blau (built 1901) connects the FGC station Av. Tibidabo with Pl. del Funicular, from where the funicular railway completes the journey to the summit.

Like a horse and cart idly trotting along a busy motorway, the antique Tramvia Blau rattles and shakes anachronistically on its way up the busy street to Pl. del Funicular.

Quite literally you are transported back to a more sedate age, creaking along at the slower pace of our ancestors. Just to remind us, motorists play chicken with the tram, impatiently swerving and accelerating, trying unsuccessfully to squeeze between us and the curb. Ultimately they know they've just got to wait, but momentarily it's an impressive run of the 'Wacky Races'.
