Avinguda de Miramar,
Parc de Montjuďc (funicular)
Designed by friend and architect Josep Lluís Sert, a fantastically light and airy building, a fitting home for the world’s largest collection of Miró’s work. It opened, with Miro’s full involvement, in 1975, and has since been much expanded. In addition to displays of the artist’s own work, the foundation stages regular temporary exhibitions. In the past these have included names such as Arp, Magritte, Duchamp and Klee. Other facilities include a café, a giftshop and bookshop.

The world's strangest Tom and Jerry characters could live here, with the brightest legs belonging to the frightened lady on a chair. Assemblage sculptures give a radiant saturation of colour against clean cut pure white walls and cobalt blue skys.
Everything is simply placed and arranged, but nothing is... how can a dustbin lid appear as a cheeky face, a twisted bucket as another... this is no ordinary cat and mouse world.
