Erotica and its depiction throughout history is explored in this unique museum, comprising prints, sculpture and paintings from Ancient Greece right up to works from the modern day.

Still reeling from the eight foot high phallus that greets you at the head of the stairs, take care not to stumble into the nearest chair - rightly described by the museum as ‘the most unusual chair ever’.

A sort of mechanical S&M centre-piece, its clamps, motors and thrusting attachments put a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘you might want to take this sitting down’. You won’t see this one flat-packed in Ikea.
