Rebuilt for the 1992 Olympics by architect Antoni de Moragas, this publicly owned swimming and diving pool is located on the city facing side of Montjuïc. This pool is only opened occasionally, usually during the summer months.

The spectacle of Olympic divers, mid-air and backdropped against the dramatic cityscape below, was one of the most enduring televisual images of the 1992 Olympics Games.

Another of the city's many Olympic legacies; Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc provides a swimming experience without comparison. Even when it's closed (which is most of the year) you can admire the breathtaking daring of its location. For a stunning view across the pool when the gates are locked, walk along Av. Miramar, away from the Funicular station, and peek in around the perimeter fence.
