This attractive garden, located on the steep seaward face of Montjuic, is home to one of Europe's largest collection of cacti.

Whilst undeniably fascinating from a botanical viewpoint, there's always something unreal about cacti, and in this garden your mind can wonder as freely as your feet.

From strange phallic suggestiveness to the plain weird... You might spot 'el seient de la sogra' the spikey puffball 'mother-in-law's seat', or perhaps the forest of Neobuxbaumia Polylopha. The latter look like strange bloated bodies buried head-down in the earth; only two hairy legs topped with puffy toes poke upwards towards the sky.
